Derps Tips

I'm gonna sometimes put up some tips on this account if I get around to it, so here we go!

1. Blood Points and Popularity Points



These are points that allow you to unlock certain things on the forum. If we get a server, then they'll be on there too.

Blood Points are earned by posting topics and replies. Replies are worth 1 and topics and worth 3. You can also earn Blood Points by making friends. In order to do that, you must go to someones profile, like mine, and clicking on the "Add to my friends list" link. Add the owner to your list! You can also do that in the Friends and foes tab when editing your profile. There, you can accept friend requests and manually add friends or foes. Yeah, there's foes. Each friend you make gives you 5 Blood Points, whether you sent it or accepted it.

Popularity Points are earned by recieving thanks or positive votes. Earning positive votes are worth 1 and recieving thanks is worth 3. Earning negative votes make you lose 1, so you don't want to be rude to anyone... or get a Herobrine hater to join the fan club.


Please note that recieving Blood Points and Popularity Points are doubled in the "Herobrine Sightings" area. That includes losing Popularity Points, so DON'T push anyone's buttons.

2. Groups and Ranks



First, we're gonna talk about the groups.

Groups are what they are. They tell what kind of person a user is. Groups can be things such as Rank Colors, Personal Clubs, or even Special Users! Personal Clubs are dominate to Rank Colors, as Special Users are dominate to Personal Clubs. Examples of Personal Clubs would be Believers in Herobrine and derps and derpettes. Special Users would be Moderators and Honored users. We should also remember about Rank Colors, in which the lowest ones would be 25-49 and 50-99.

Sometimes, ranks can go along with groups, which is what we're gonna talk about in a second.



Ranks are what they are. They tell how high up a person is. The lowest would be 'Normal Minecraftian', which is 0-1 posts.
The highest, as of 2/22/14, would be 'Iron Miner', which is 50-79 posts.
Like I said, sometimes ranks can go along with groups, such as Honored users and Moderators . Ranks can even be special, such as the Top Topic Starter and the Top Poster .

Try to reach over 9000 posts. There might be a cool rank for that.

3. User Activity



User Activity is how active a user is.

Most users will make an account then quit immediately without any posts. Those are inactive users. They're deleted within a month from their creation. As you can see by the image, AaronOnsaeng, who is currently inactive, is supposed to be the 261st user. That means there have been 156 users deleted and counting! And on top of that, 38 users haven't gotten on since the fan clubs 1st birthday!! It seems Anglican hasn't been on since the fan clubs creation, with only one post to help him stay.

Mostly newsletters will help, but sometimes, people won't check their e-mails. I'll ask the owner to send a newsletter out telling them about a new rule that I've asked him to put up.
